The Guy Behind the Scenes

One man, one heat press, one slightly overconfident sign, custom shirts out of Gardner, Massachusetts since the day the lights went on.

The story

Gardner, Mass., the fabulous G-Vegas

Gardner is the Chair City, the town with the giant chair. The sign out front gives it the other nickname it deserves: G-Vegas, a little strip of neon optimism in North Central Massachusetts. That joke became a logo, the logo became a shop, and the shop became G-Vegas Tee's.

Paul Bilodeau runs the whole show: draws the graphics, runs the DTF prints, presses the shirts, tapes the boxes. No call center, no six templates in a trench coat. The guy who answers the phone is the guy pressing your shirt.

The shop rules never change: everybody gets a great shirt (that's why sizes run to 5X), nobody needs a minimum order, and you get straight talk about which shirt colors will make your art glow.

How a shirt gets made here

The art gets drawn

By hand, built for DTF, not pulled from a clip-art bin.

Film gets printed

The full color design prints to film, halftones and all.

Shirts get pressed

Shirt by shirt on the heat press, checked as each one comes off.

Boxes get taped

Off the shelf goes same day, made to order in up to 5 business days.

The craft

Built to survive the wash

Big back prints, quiet left-chest crests, halftone shading that holds its glow, the details are the whole difference between a shirt you wear out and a shirt you wear out proudly.

  • Front, back and left-chest print combos.
  • Halftone shading matched to the right shirt colors.
  • Wash inside-out, cold, the print outlasts the elastic.
